Link People Solutions is hiring a Human Resource Manager on behalf of our client, a well-established aged care facility in Sydney’s inner western suburbs. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), this full-time, on-site role requires a detail-oriented professional to lead HR functions, drive recruitment initiatives, and ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage HR functions while overseeing a small team
Drive end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and compliance processes
Maintain and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices
Ensure effective HR documentation and employee record management
Work closely with the CEO and external HR partners on strategic workforce initiatives
Oversee the employee lifecycle, including induction, orientation, performance management, compliance (e.g., National Police Checks), and terminations
Develop and implement HR reporting and metrics to support business decisions
Ensure an employee key event calendar is maintained for follow-ups and compliance deadlines
Provide advice on HR legislation, employment policies, and workplace safety
Support injured workers through Return to Work processes
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need a minimum of five years’ experience in HR leadership, with expertise in recruitment, compliance, and employee relations.
Strong proficiency in PHP (Laravel or equivalent frameworks).
Hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks.
Knowledge of database management and backend development.
Experience with shell scripting (Bash) and PowerShell.
Familiarity with Unix-based environments.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
Strong commitment to workforce engagement and compliance
Proven HR leadership experience with the ability to manage teams and HR projects
Excellent knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation
Ability to provide generalist HR advice and manage sensitive employee matters
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR Information Systems
Experience in Work Health & Safety (WHS), Workers’ Compensation, and Return to Work processes
Desirable Experience
Background in aged care or community services
Experience reporting directly to a CEO
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
